Founded in 1958, Hush Puppies is an iconic global footwear brand that has been loved by Aussies since the ‘60s. Known for modern, casual style and an easy-going attitude, Hush Puppies is all about helping people look good and feel good every day.

Our mission is simple: to design shoes that blend technology, style and comfort to create a new kind of everyday footwear.

Now, we’re bringing the Hush Puppies experience to Carindale, and we’re looking for an experienced retail leader to join us as Store Manager and play a key role in launching our exciting new store.

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

As Store Manager – Hush Puppies Carindale, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to lead our brand-new store from opening day and establish a high-performing team and exceptional customer experience from the ground up.

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day operation of the store, drive sales and KPI performance, and create an environment where customers love to shop and team members love to work.

From preparing for opening day through to building a loyal customer base, you’ll be hands-on across team leadership, sales, customer experience, visual merchandising and store operations.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate retail leader who loves footwear, enjoys building teams and thrives on creating successful stores.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing team to achieve sales targets and KPIs
• Take ownership of the new store opening, helping establish strong processes, standards and culture from day one
• Deliver exceptional customer service and create memorable in-store experiences
• Build and maintain a strong customer-focused sales culture
• Drive store performance through effective sales strategies and commercial decision-making
• Recruit, onboard, train and develop your team, creating opportunities for growth and succession
• Manage all aspects of store operations, including rosters, stock control, loss prevention and visual merchandising
• Maintain Hush Puppies’ brand, presentation and VM standards
• Analyse store performance and use commercial insights to maximise sales opportunities
• Create a positive, inclusive and engaging team environment

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for a confident and hands-on retail leader who is excited by the opportunity to open and grow a brand-new store.

You’ll ideally have:

• Proven experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager in a retail environment
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, coach and develop a team
• A customer-first mindset and genuine passion for delivering outstanding service
• A strong understanding of sales, KPIs and commercial performance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• A proactive, energetic and hands-on approach
• A passion for footwear, fashion and creating great customer experiences
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and lead from the front

Experience with new store openings is highly regarded, but most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is ready to make this store their own.
