Join our People & Culture team as a People & Culture Advisor on a 12-month fixed term contract, supporting our Retail portfolio across a broad range of people matters.

This is a hands-on generalist role where you’ll work closely with People & Culture Business Partners, the Head of People and retail leaders to deliver practical people solutions across the employee lifecycle. From supporting employee relations and performance processes through to cyclical people activities, HRIS administration and people initiatives, you’ll play an important role in keeping our people processes running smoothly.

You’ll build strong relationships across our retail network and become a trusted point of contact for leaders and team members, while gaining exposure to a broad range of P&C activity within a fast-paced, multi-site retail environment.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Act as a trusted first point of contact for general P&C queries across Retail, triaging the People inbox and providing practical guidance
• Support P&C Business Partners with performance, capability, remuneration, employee relations and cyclical people activities
• Assist with ER case management, investigations, documentation and resolution, as well as store closure processes
• Coordinate employee benefits, onboarding, contract variations, offboarding and other employee lifecycle activities
• Manage Dayforce requests and HRIS processes, including workflows, reporting and release-cycle testing
• Support compliance training, engagement surveys, talent and succession planning and other people initiatives
• Prepare people communications, guides, templates and process documentation for Retail and Support Office stakeholders
• Analyse people metrics and salary data, identify process improvements and explore AI-enabled ways to streamline P&C processes

ABOUT YOU

• Previous experience in an HR, People & Culture or HR Advisory role, ideally within retail or another multi-site environment
• Strong understanding of people processes, employment legislation, ER and HR policies
• Confident building relationships with leaders and team members at all levels
• Highly organised and responsive, with excellent attention to detail and follow-through
• Comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and practical advice
• Commercially minded, with an understanding of how people activity can support broader business outcomes
• Experience with HRIS platforms such as Dayforce would be highly regarded, as would an interest in using technology and AI to improve processes
