We’re excited to be opening a brand-new Black Pepper store at Macarthur Square, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Store Manager to bring our new store to life.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building a team, establishing a strong store culture and creating an exceptional customer experience from opening day.

As Store Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the store, lead and inspire your team, drive sales and ensure Black Pepper’s signature level of customer service and presentation is delivered every day.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Lead, coach and motivate a passionate new team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Take ownership of the store opening, helping establish strong operational routines and a positive team culture from day one.
• Oversee daily store operations and ensure the store runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Create a warm, welcoming and engaging environment where every customer feels valued.
• Drive sales performance and actively support the team to achieve and exceed targets.
• Manage inventory, including stock receiving, replenishment, organisation and presentation.
• Manage monthly rosters, ensuring they are effectively planned and costed within budgeted hours.
• Maintain high visual merchandising standards and bring the Black Pepper brand to life through styling and store presentation.
• Build strong relationships with customers and develop a loyal local customer base.
• Support training, development and ongoing performance of your team.

ABOUT YOU

You’re an experienced retail leader who loves fashion, people and creating memorable customer experiences. You’re energised by the opportunity to be part of something new and are excited to build a high-performing team from the ground up.

You’ll bring:

• Previous experience in a Store Manager or strong Assistant Store Manager role, ideally within fashion or specialty retail.
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, coach and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, organised and hands-on approach to store operations.
• A strong commercial focus and confidence working towards sales targets and KPIs.
• A keen eye for styling, visual merchandising and store presentation.
• The ability to build genuine relationships with customers and your team.
• Enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude, particularly in the fast-paced environment of a new store opening.
