We’re looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Casual Retail Assistant to join our Hush Puppies team in Carindale, QLD.

As part of our team, you’ll help customers discover footwear that suits their style, comfort needs and everyday lifestyle. From sharing product knowledge and styling advice to creating a welcoming shopping experience, you’ll bring our brand to life with every customer interaction.

You’ll also be involved in the day-to-day running of the store, helping maintain beautiful displays, keeping stock organised and working alongside your teammates to achieve shared goals.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Welcome customers and deliver personalised service that makes every visit enjoyable.
• Help customers find footwear that combines the right fit, comfort and style.
• Share product knowledge and styling recommendations to help customers make confident choices.
• Keep the store looking its best, with attractive displays and well-presented merchandise.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with stock deliveries, replenishment and inventory management.
• Support visual merchandising initiatives and maintain high store standards.
• Work collaboratively with your team to achieve sales targets and store objectives.
• Bring a positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for helping customers.

ABOUT YOU

You don’t just enjoy great shoes — you enjoy helping people find the right pair!

Ideally, you’ll have:

• A genuine interest in footwear, fashion and personal styling.
• Previous experience in retail sales or a customer-facing role.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with different customers.
• The ability to understand customer needs and tailor your recommendations accordingly.
• A positive, approachable and team-focused attitude.
• A willingness to learn about our products and comfort technologies.
• A results-driven mindset and enthusiasm for achieving sales goals.
• Availability to work an agreed casual shift pattern, with flexibility during weekends and peak trading periods.
