Black Pepper is looking for an enthusiastic Casual Retail Assistant to join our team in Orange, NSW!

This is an exciting opportunity to bring your personality, customer service skills and passion for fashion to a brand that puts its customers first. You’ll help women discover styles they love, offer thoughtful product recommendations and create a shopping experience that keeps them coming back.

No two days are quite the same. From helping customers find the right fit to refreshing displays and welcoming new deliveries, you’ll be involved in the daily buzz of our store while working alongside a supportive team.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Create a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel valued and enjoy their shopping experience.
• Get to know customers and help them find styles that suit their needs, preferences and lifestyle.
• Share product knowledge and styling suggestions to help customers feel confident in their choices.
• Bring the store to life by maintaining attractive displays and high presentation standards.
• Assist with deliveries, stock replenishment and inventory management.
• Process sales transactions accurately and provide helpful service at every interaction.
• Work closely with your teammates to achieve sales targets and deliver great results.
• Bring energy, initiative and a can-do attitude to every shift.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in great service and is excited about fashion.

You’ll ideally bring:

• A genuine interest in fashion and helping customers feel confident.
• Experience in retail sales or another customer-facing role.
• A friendly, approachable personality and strong communication skills.
• The ability to understand customer needs and tailor your approach accordingly.
• A positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn.
• Confidence working towards sales targets and contributing to team success.
• Flexibility to work an agreed casual shift pattern, including availability during busy trading periods and weekends as required.

Most importantly, you’ll enjoy making someone’s day and creating a shopping experience that feels personal. Fashion retail experience is valued, but enthusiasm, initiative and a customer-first mindset matter too.
