ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

Love fashion and enjoy making someone's day?

We’re looking for a Casual Retail Assistant to join our Black Pepper team in Carindale, QLD!

You’ll be a friendly face on the shop floor, helping customers explore our collections, find the right styles and feel confident in their purchases. Your ability to listen, offer helpful recommendations and build genuine connections will be key to creating a great customer experience.

Alongside serving customers, you’ll help keep the store looking its best, support stock deliveries and replenishment, and work with your teammates to achieve store goals.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Create a welcoming atmosphere and deliver personalised customer service.
• Get to know our products and help customers find styles that suit their preferences and needs.
• Offer practical styling suggestions and product recommendations.
• Build positive customer relationships that encourage repeat visits.
• Keep the store floor organised and maintain high visual presentation standards.
• Assist with stock deliveries, replenishment and inventory tasks.
• Process sales and payments accurately while providing a seamless checkout experience.
• Support promotional activities and visual merchandising updates.
• Work alongside your teammates to achieve sales targets and deliver store results.

ABOUT YOU

You’re someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering great service and brings a positive attitude to the workplace.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• An interest in fashion and an eye for putting together great looks.
• Previous experience in retail, sales or another customer-focused role.
• The confidence to approach customers and understand what they’re looking for.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
• The ability to balance customer service with daily store responsibilities.
• A team-oriented attitude and willingness to contribute wherever needed.
• Initiative, reliability and enthusiasm for achieving sales goals.
• Availability for casual shifts, including flexibility during weekends and peak trading periods.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who enjoys helping customers and wants to contribute to a positive store environment.
