Our agile and creative team manages the design, development, production and marketing of owned, licensed and private label apparel, footwear and sports equipment across a portfolio of around 25 brands from Everlast and Umbro, to Ed Hardy and Volley to Bluey and The Wiggles.

We are one of Australia’s leading suppliers to major and independent retailers, with a growing online presence across our 3 e-commerce platforms – Umbro, Volley and Everlast.

 

ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

As an Apparel Designer specialising in Womenswear & Girlswear, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and creating innovative garment and accessory designs that align with market trends and business objectives. You will work collaboratively with the Design Manager and Account Manager to ensure successful product development and delivery.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • You’ll be designing trend-driven collections, selecting quality fabrics, staying ahead of fashion trends, managing the entire design process, collaborating with offshore suppliers, and ensuring costings and samples meet expectations.
  • Ensuring designs align with financial goals by managing budgets, hitting profitability targets, and using post-season analysis to refine future strategies.
  • Managing fabric and trim sourcing, resolving production challenges with factories, and ensuring fit and styling approvals with QA technicians.
  • Developing Range Books and Boards, coordinating sample deliveries, and supporting customer and internal meetings to drive sales and marketing success.
  • Collaborating across teams to achieve shared goals.

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in Licensed Sports Apparel Design. Having worked in work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong understanding of colour theory, textile construction, garment fit, and manufacturing.
  • Experience in range planning and alignment of designs with financial goals.
  • Passion for innovation and style with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel
