ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

We're on the hunt for a superstar Assistant Store Manager to join Shoes & Sox Eastland!

This newly created role is an exciting opportunity to support business growth, work alongside the Store Manager and help build a high-performing team that delivers outstanding customer experiences and strong commercial results.

Located in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, Eastland offers an exciting retail environment with opportunities to connect with local families, grow customer loyalty and maximise store performance.

You'll help lead a passionate team, celebrate their wins and keep the energy high as you work together to achieve your goals and contribute to the wider success of Shoes & Sox.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

No two days are the same in retail, but here's a sneak peek at what you'll be up to:

• Be the right-hand to the Store Manager – support daily operations, lead by example and help keep the team motivated, engaged and focused on achieving store goals.
• Lead from the front – coach, develop and inspire team members to deliver exceptional customer service and create memorable experiences for children and their families.
• Drive sales and business growth – monitor sales performance, track KPIs, identify opportunities and motivate the team to achieve and exceed targets.
• Build lasting customer relationships – champion expert footwear fitting, personalised service and customer loyalty to help grow our presence across Melbourne's eastern suburbs.
• Style it up – maintain outstanding visual merchandising and store presentation standards that bring the Shoes & Sox brand and footwear collections to life.
• Stay sharp on stock – support effective stock management, inventory accuracy and proactive loss prevention to protect store profitability.
• Champion safety – promote a safe, inclusive and supportive workplace by following all OH&S requirements and looking out for your team.
• Make an impact – bring fresh ideas, take initiative and work collaboratively with the Store Manager to improve store performance, team capability and the overall customer experience.

ABOUT YOU

You're not just a people person – you're a team energiser, a customer experience champion and maybe even a kid-whisperer! You're commercially minded, proactive and excited by the opportunity to help grow a business.

• Experienced Assistant Store Manager, Retail Supervisor or retail leader ready to take the next step.
• Confident leading, coaching and motivating a team to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
• Warm, approachable and passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Great with kids and families, with the patience and care needed to support expert footwear fitting.
• Commercially focused, with a proven ability to identify opportunities to improve sales and store performance.
• Skilled in stock control, loss prevention and visual merchandising.
• Organised, reliable and an effective communicator who can build strong relationships with team members, customers and leadership.
• Proactive and adaptable, with the confidence to take ownership and contribute ideas that support business growth.
• Excited by the opportunity to help establish strong foundations, develop a positive team culture and contribute to the continued success of Shoes & Sox Eastland.
