ABOUT SUPERDRY

Superdry is a globally recognised fashion brand founded in 2003 in Cheltenham, England. Our story blends British prep with Japanese-inspired graphics and vintage Americana styling. From classic to iconic, we reimagine heritage pieces through a contemporary lens. Our mission is to serve our diverse community through a premium brand that looks to the future, leads with craft and celebrates culture.

ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

We’re on the lookout for a driven, hands-on Assistant Store Manager to join our Superdry South Wharf team!

Located in a busy, high-volume outlet environment, this is an exciting opportunity for a retail leader who thrives on pace, energy and delivering results. With a constant flow of customers, a strong focus on sales and a fast-moving retail floor, no two days are the same.

Working closely with the Store Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving store performance, leading and developing a high-performing team, and ensuring the store operates at its best. From maximising sales opportunities and maintaining outstanding store standards to keeping the team motivated during peak trade, you’ll lead from the front and help create an exceptional customer experience.

If you’re commercially minded, operationally strong and love the energy of a busy retail environment, this could be the role for you!

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Lead from the front: Support the Store Manager in driving daily operations, setting the pace on the shop floor and keeping the team focused during busy trading periods.
  • Drive sales and KPIs: Monitor store performance, identify opportunities and motivate the team to achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences: Build a customer-first culture, lead by example and ensure every customer interaction reflects the Superdry brand.
  • Coach and develop your team: Provide hands-on training, feedback and ongoing coaching to build capability, confidence and accountability.
  • Own the shop floor: Maintain strong floor presence, manage competing priorities and ensure the team is positioned effectively to maximise sales and service.
  • Keep operations running smoothly: Oversee daily store routines, stock replenishment, deliveries, stock accuracy and inventory management in a high-turnover environment.
  • Maintain outstanding store standards: Ensure visual merchandising, presentation and promotional execution are consistently on point, even during peak trade.
  • Protect the business: Drive proactive loss prevention practices, minimise shrinkage and maintain strong operational controls.
  • Create a safe workplace: Promote a positive, inclusive and safe working environment in line with company policies and OH&S requirements.

ABOUT YOU

You’re a confident and energetic retail leader who enjoys being in the thick of the action. You know how to bring a team together, make decisions under pressure and turn a busy trading day into a successful one.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager, Department Manager or Senior Retail Sales Assistant ready to take the next step.
  • Experience in a high-volume retail or outlet environment, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • A strong commercial mindset and a proven ability to drive sales, achieve KPIs and deliver results.
  • A hands-on leadership style, with the confidence to motivate, coach and hold a team accountable.
  • Excellent floor management skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions during peak trade.
  • Strong operational knowledge across stock management, replenishment, visual merchandising and loss prevention.
  • A customer-first attitude and a genuine passion for fashion, retail and the Superdry brand.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and peak trading periods.

Above all, you’re proactive, adaptable and resilient. You bring energy to every shift, lead by example and understand that success in a high-volume store comes from balancing people, customers, operations and commercial results.
