Since 1987 Shoes & Sox has been the go-to destination for all types of kids shoes, trusted to expertly fit kids feet. Our mission is to get every baby, toddler and kid (big and little) in Australia into shoes that fit their feet as well as their adventures, their personality, and their family, perfectly.

 

ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

We are on the lookout for passionate and energetic Retail Leaders who will join us on our journey as we continue to grow and evolve this iconic Australian brand! We are on a mission to find a Store Manager (permanent, part-time) to help lead our dynamic team at Shoes & Sox Myer Miranda!

This part-time position requires 30 hours across a Tuesday to Saturday roster.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As a leader in the store, you will motivate a passionate team and manage the daily store operations, building and driving a customer-led culture through leading by example and delivering excellent service standards.

Additionally, you:

  • Inspire and help mentor a diverse team of footwear enthusiasts to reach set KPIs and sales targets – celebrate the wins and encourage the team to be proud of the contribution they have to the wider business strategy!
  • Closely monitor store sales performance - acknowledge outstanding results and identify any areas of improvement
  • Ensure store presentation is immaculate through visual merchandising
  • Take a proactive approach in loss prevention management i.e. stock shrinkage
  • Demonstrate a duty of care by ensuring that the work environment is safe, healthy and fit for work (adhere to state and national OH&S legislation) 

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous Retail/Store Leadership experience (training, coaching and mentoring team members) 
    • Experience in Children's education also welcome
  • A warm, welcoming nature and enjoy working with children, with a passion for creating a memorable service experience for our customers 
  • A proven record of driving and exceeding KPIs, effective stock control and visual merchandising
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Committed to continuous improvement and learning
  • You are confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels
