ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

We’re opening a brand-new Black Pepper store at Macarthur Square — and we’re looking for a passionate Part-Time Retail Assistant to join our new team!

As a Part-Time Retail Assistant at Black Pepper Macarthur Square, you’ll play an important role in bringing our new store to life and creating a warm, welcoming and personalised shopping experience for every customer.

You’ll use your passion for fashion and genuine love of helping people to provide styling advice, assist customers in finding the perfect fit and make every visit a memorable one.

As part of our new store team, you’ll also help create a beautiful store environment from day one, supporting everything from stock management and visual merchandising through to transactions and maintaining high presentation standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something new, work alongside a supportive team and help establish Black Pepper as a favourite destination for customers at Macarthur Square.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Provide outstanding customer service and create a warm, welcoming shopping experience
• Build genuine connections with customers and understand their individual needs
• Assist customers with product selection, styling advice and finding the perfect fit
• Create positive and memorable experiences for every customer who visits our new Macarthur Square store
• Help bring our brand and store vision to life as part of the new store opening team
• Maintain a beautiful store environment that is clean, organised and visually appealing
• Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately
• Receive, unpack, replenish and merchandise stock to ensure products are presented beautifully
• Support inventory management and visual merchandising
• Work collaboratively with your team to achieve sales targets and store goals
• Bring a positive, enthusiastic and can-do attitude to every shift
• Support the team during the exciting launch period and beyond

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about fashion and, most importantly, loves making people feel good.

You’ll ideally have:

• A genuine passion for fashion, styling and helping customers feel confident
• A warm and approachable personality with a natural ability to connect with people
• Experience in a customer-facing sales or retail role within a team environment
• The ability to build genuine customer relationships and adapt your selling style to meet individual needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A reliable, positive and enthusiastic attitude
• A strong customer-first approach
• A willingness to learn and contribute to the success of a brand-new store
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
• Availability to commit to a part-time roster, with some flexibility to assist during peak trading periods, weekends and the store opening period

Experience in fashion retail is highly regarded, but your attitude, personality and passion for customer service are just as important.
