ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
As the Merchandise Planner, you’ll be responsible for forecasting and managing stock requirements across our Shoes & Sox channels. You’ll ensure balanced assortments, optimal stock levels, and strong financial outcomes to deliver sales and margin targets.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Drive financial performance through effective OTB and WSSI management, budgeting, forecasting, and inventory strategy
- Develop and maintain merchandise and assortment plans across all categories
- Align sales forecasts and inventory levels in partnership with the Planning Manager
- Build balanced option plans that deliver the right mix by category and price architecture
- Oversee order raising, stock allocation, and replenishment to optimise availability
- Analyse sales, stock, and financial performance to identify trading opportunities and support decision-making
- Partner with Marketing, VM, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams to plan promotions, optimise stock flow, and ensure timely product delivery
- Share insights and performance updates with senior leadership to guide strategy and planning
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Merchandise Planner role within fashion retail
- Strong financial and analytical expertise across OTB, WSSI, and sales forecasting
- Proven commercial acumen with the ability to interpret data and drive strategic decisions
- Confident in analysing and interpreting data quickly and accurately across multiple sources
- Skilled in summarising insights and driving positive business outcomes
- Advanced MS Excel skills; experience with AP21 highly regarded
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong and effective relationships
