We’re looking for a commercially minded and creatively driven Product Manager – Kids Footwear to lead the development of our seasonal kids and back-to-school footwear collections. From trend forecasting and range architecture through to supplier management and product execution, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping product strategy and driving commercial growth across some of Australia’s most recognised footwear retailers.

Leading a small team of Product Developers, this role is perfect for someone who thrives balancing creativity, commerciality and product innovation in a fast-paced retail environment.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Lead the development of seasonal kids footwear and back-to-school collections
  • Build commercially successful assortments aligned to brand, customer and market trends
  • Analyse market performance, competitor activity and consumer insights to identify opportunities
  • Define seasonal trend direction and translate insights into clear product briefs
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Retail and Sourcing teams to deliver compelling product stories
  • Present seasonal product strategies and ranges to key internal stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with offshore factory partners and suppliers
  • Lead supplier negotiations around costing, MOQs and product engineering outcomes
  • Oversee the end-to-end product development process from concept through to pre-production
  • Manage fittings, technical specifications, sample approvals and product data integrity
  • Mentor and support two Product Developers within the team

 

ABOUT YOU

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Senior Product Developer or Product Manager within footwear
  • Previous experience developing kids footwear products is highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of footwear construction, fit, materials and technical development
  • Proven experience working with offshore factories and supplier management
  • Commercially minded with strong costing and negotiation capability
  • Highly creative with the ability to interpret trends and translate them into commercially viable product
  • Proficient across Adobe Creative Suite with strong technical drawing capability
  • Previous leadership or team management experience
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
