ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
Reporting to the Head of Retail, we are seeking an exceptional Area Manager to join our Review team, supporting 13 stores across VIC/ TAS. This hands-on, sales-led, people-driven role is ideal for a leader who thrives on accountability, coaching, and translating numbers into action.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As Area Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the overall performance of your region’s stores in line with business strategy to maximise profitable sales. You’ll:

  • Lead a culture of selling excellence, ensuring KPIs are understood, owned, and embedded across your stores.
  • Coach teams to grow the customer database, convert new customers into loyal advocates, and nurture existing loyal customers.
  • Drive excellence in people management, visual merchandising, and inventory control.
  • Own roster planning, reviewing and optimising schedules to balance sales opportunities and cost control, and upskill Store Managers on effective planning.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, recommending strategies to enhance sales, staff performance, stock management, and systems.
  • Manage performance, achieve KPI targets, and motivate your teams to succeed.
  • Nurture and grow your direct reports, building a strong talent pipeline within the retail network.
  • Handle escalated store or customer complaints with professionalism.
  • Confidently manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment.

ABOUT YOU
You’re commercially minded, people-focused, and passionate about retail. You bring:

  • Proven Area Management experience in the retail sector
  • A track record of driving sales, achieving results, and engaging teams, with strong KPI knowledge.
  • Strong people management, performance management, and coaching skills.
  • Analytical, data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • A mindset for innovation, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
  • Self-driven motivation with a hunger for growth.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and engaging in both internal and external events.
  • Strong communication, inclusivity, and team-listening skills.
  • Ability to move with urgency, think on your feet, and lead from the floor.
