ABOUT HUSH PUPPIES

Founded in 1958, Hush Puppies is an iconic, global footwear brand, loved by Aussies since the ‘60s for its shoes with modern, casual style and an easy-going attitude. We believe every step should look as good as it feels - that’s why our mission is to design shoes that blend technology with aesthetics, creating a new kind of comfort that ensures people look good and feel good every day.

ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

Join the team at Hush Puppies as an Allocator and play a key role in ensuring the right product reaches the right store at the right time. Working closely with the planning and merchandising teams, you’ll manage stock allocation, replenishment, and store inventory to drive profitable sales and maximise stock efficiency across the retail network. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and using insights to improve product performance in stores.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Allocate initial stock to stores based on analysis, store capacity, and the range and gridding plan
  • Manage replenishment and maintain model stocks by store, style, and size within the system
  • Monitor in-store stock levels and adjust allocations to meet changing demand and support promotional periods
  • Manage indent allocations of ratio packs and ensure models are activated only once stock is received in store
  • Analyse store performance and recommend changes to store gridding or product mix to maximise sales and reduce stock outs
  • Consolidate key styles and sale stock between stores when needed to optimise stock flow
  • Monitor inventory movements and ensure stock transfers and deliveries are accurately tracked
  • Support new store openings by securing stock and assisting with range plans

ABOUT YOU

  • 2+ years’ experience in a merchandise allocation or similar retail planning role
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data quickly and accurately
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capability and strong systems knowledge
  • Experience with AP21 or similar retail merchandise systems
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment
  • A confident communicator who can collaborate with planning, store, and support teams
  • Passion for retail and a proactive mindset when identifying opportunities to improve stock performance
