ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

As the Visual Merchandising Specialist for our beloved Review and Elka brands, you'll play a key role in translating brand vision into compelling in-store experiences. You'll be the driving force behind impactful visual displays, using mannequins and merchandise to bring each season's product and marketing strategy to life.

From attending seasonal and monthly handover meetings for firsthand insight into upcoming collections, to crafting key product stories and looks for the Visual Merchandising Brief (VMB), you’ll be immersed in the creative process every step of the way.

This role leads the charge in test store set-ups for both concept and concession locations, setting the standard across Australia and New Zealand. You'll create detailed visual merchandising documentation and communications that ensure our brand stories shine consistently in every store.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Assist the Group HOVM & Brand MD to build the VM strategy for standalone and concession stores, outlining key elements and requirements for execution.
  • Manage the monthly mock shop and key looks creating product groupings and mannequin outfits, developing signage and window creative requirements - signed off by key stakeholders.
  • Manage & communicate the monthly Visual Merchandising Booklet document.
  • Lead the test store each month with the Head of Retail driving the merchandising and key looks strategies for the month.
  • Photograph the monthly set up ensuring all images are clear and show the new merchandising and mannequin styling clearly.
  • Manage the communication of updates to retail teams with any changes made at test store.
  • Collaborate with planning and retail team to coordinate sale and promotional timelines and communication in line with the trade calendar.
  • Oversee the merchandising calendar with focus on big brand moments ensuring team deliver requirements within times frames i.e. Mother’s Day, Christmas, Design collaborations and ad-hoc as required.
  • Lead weekly store presentation and commercial updates to support adjustments of merchandise and mannequins in line with business performance.
  • Develop training tools to support the retail teams in consistent execution of store experience
  • Review sales data with a view to altering VM to improve and maximise sales and profitability
  • Regularly complete competitor shops to keep abreast of competitor and market trends in the VM space

 

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will come with..

  • Minimum 3 years in a similar capacity (ideally across Womenswear Brands)
  • Previous VM & retail experience / knowledge
  • Strong fashion / style experience
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills which enable you to meet both budget and timeline requirements
  • Intermediate – Advanced understanding of Adobe, particularly in InDesign
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • Creative development
  • Strong excel skills
  • A good eye for colour matching and attention to detail
  • Experience in Sketch Up is preferred
