ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
As Planner, you will be responsible for planning and forecasting of all stock requirements for our Review channels, ensuring the successful procurement and allocation of stock that results in balanced assortments and stock-levels in stores to achieve (and exceed) sales budgets, margins and manage stock levels.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Develop and maintain merchandises and assortment plans across all categories.
- Collaborate with the Head of Planning to ensure alignment between sales forecasts and inventory levels
- Construct well balanced option plans which offers the right mix by category & Price architecture in line with customers’ requirements based on history and current performance.
- Manage order raising, stock allocation, and replenishment to optimise availability.
- Share insights and direction to Allocator on a regular basis, ensuring information is concise and clear to action
- Generate and analyse reports on sales, inventory, and financial performance on a weekly, monthly and seasonal basis.
- Monitor sales performance, identify opportunities, and implement effective markdown and promotional strategies to maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with Marketing and VM Teams to plan and execute promotions and markdowns aligned to the Trade Calendar
- Present merchandise plans and performance reports to senior leadership as needed.
- Develop and implement strategies for product allocation and replenishment to ensure optimal distribution across stores.
- Work with supply chain team to optimize stock flow and manage lead times to ensure timely product availability.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics team to support inventory management and delivery schedules.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will come with..
- 3 years+ experience in a similar Planner role, within a fashion apparel business
- Confident in analysing data quickly and accurately across multiple sources
- Capable of summarising insights and driving positive outcomes
- Comfortable working autonomously in fast-paced retail environment
- Advanced MS Office Excel desirable
- Advanced understanding of AP21 desirable
- Industry and business understanding
- Financial analysis & interpretation
- Commercial analysis and interpretation
- Strong Communication/interpersonal skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and Decision-making skills
- Negotiation Skills
- Ability to work under pressure and resilience
