The opportunity:
We are on the lookout for a Junior Planner to join our team supporting our Footwear Myer Concesions! Reporting directly to the Head of Planning, this role is responsible for the planning and forecasting of all stock requirements, ensuring the successful procurement and allocation of stock that results in balanced assortments and stock-levels in stores to achieve (and exceed) sales budgets, margins and manage stock levels. 

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Allocating and management of stock replenishment across our Myer Concessions for Footwear
  • Maintaining Range Plans, Forecast files and Buy files
  • Proposing promotions and markdown plans
  • Work with retail team on new store range plans
  • Build and maintain relationships with stores and DC Teams
  • Ensure inventory levels are kept within set KPIs and ‘tail’ managed accordingly
  • Contribute to in-season & post-seasonal meetings with quality analysis on sales trends, profitability, product life cycle, pricing, sizing, product attributes and to use this information to compile product and assortment plans inclusive of brand, category, gender, age group, options, quantities, and any other attribute required to ensure a balanced assortment is planned upfront
  • Ensure an elevated level of attention to detail is provided in all admin tasks to ensure accuracy

The skills and experience you offer us:

  • Approximately 1-2 years' experience in an allocations or planning role
  • Industry and business understanding
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills
  • Financial analysis & interpretation
  • Commercial analysis and interpretation
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and decision-making skills
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and resilience
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively within a team as well as autonomously
  • AP21 experience preferred but not essential
