ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

We’re looking for a Garment Technician to join the Elka Collective team. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Design and Production teams to bring creative concepts to life through technical garment construction. From specifications and sampling to fit sessions and quality checks, you’ll ensure every garment reflects the premium craftsmanship and high standards Elka Collective is known for.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Create and update garment specifications across all stages of the sampling process
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of technical details, including sketches, fabrics, trims and photos
  • Provide detailed and clear communication with vendors to support accurate sampling
  • Manage and lead fit sessions with Designers, ensuring garments meet quality, retailer, and compliance requirements
  • Measure, fit and grade samples through to range release and bulk production
  • Oversee sample management, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met
  • Approve bulk inspection reports, ensuring product is production-ready
  • Resolve product or quality issues with suppliers and retailers in a timely manner
  • Maintain visibility and accuracy of technical information, specifications, and approvals across systems and processes

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Garment Technician
  • Strong understanding of garment construction and apparel quality standards
  • Skilled in pattern making, grading, and fit execution
  • Confident using Illustrator and Excel to support day-to-day tasks
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management with the ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments
  • Adaptable and resilient when priorities shift
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships
