We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team at Brand Collective. This role is key to ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial results for key brands across our Retail Apparel and Licensed Brands divisions. Reporting to the Senior Financial Account, you’ll take ownership of month-end processes, reporting, tax compliance, and audits, while also supporting the business with ad-hoc analysis and insights. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Prepare and post month-end journals to ensure timely financial reporting
  • Manage end-to-end financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations for Champion and Replay brands
  • Maintain compliance registers and communicate material variances
  • Prepare and lodge monthly BAS, with involvement in FBT and other tax lodgements
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to support audit and compliance processes
  • Support cash, EFTPOS and online receipt reconciliations for Fashion Apparel brands including Review and Black Pepper
  • Monitor daily financial entries and ensure system postings reconcile with bank transactions
  • Provide accurate ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support business needs

ABOUT YOU

  • 3–5 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant, ideally within wholesale, FMCG, or retail environments
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge including month-end close, journal preparation, GST returns, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Experience managing financial reporting across multiple channels (retail, e-commerce and wholesale) is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in managing daily financial entries and cash reconciliation processes
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced environments
