The opportunity 
We are on the lookout for a Design Assistant to join our Review team! This position will be reporting to the Head of Design, and based in our Richmond Support Centre. The primary objective of the Design Assistant is to work closely with, and assist the Design team to facilitate the timely creation of apparel and accessories, and the transmission of information to suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Designers in compiling tech packs for a specific department/brand.
• Liaise with the Textile Designer to complete final print artwork documents to vendors and follow up deadlines according to critical path.
• Ensure tech packs are completed accurately and on time according to critical path.
• Ensure trims are approved according to critical path.
• Assist Designers with administrative tasks as required.
• Assist in the product lifecycle from development right through to bulk production.
• Aid in managing the timely arrival of marketing samples.
• Sample management.
• Manage seasonal and monthly colour palette.
• Assist Soft Dressing Designers on research and development.
• Ensure design area cleanliness is maintained.
  
  

Skills and Experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, Fashion Design or similar.
• Competent in Adobe Illustrator.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
• Understanding of fabrication, construction, and finishing techniques.
• Familiar with off-shore manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication skills across all levels of organization.
• Ability to prioritise and efficiently manage multiple tasks within set deadlines.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Attention to detail.
• Team focused.
