The opportunity 
We are on the lookout for a Commercial Business Partner join our Commercial Finance team, based in Richmond. Partnering our Licensed & Apparel Brand Leaders the purpose of the role is to support the business to achieve targets and drive performance. Contributing commercial and financial insights and solutions to support business planning, decision making and the execution to lift operational and financial performance. You'll help provide the financial information and analytical insights which the business requires to operate effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner.

To achieve this, you: 

  • Providing commercial support/analysis/reporting/recommendations to the business
  • Project managing business/process improvement initiatives to unlock savings, deliver sustainability goals and ultimately drive EBIT margin growth in accordance with the groups Strategic Plan
  • Undertake end to end reviews across all areas of the business and identify improvement initiatives
  • Act as trusted advisor and strategic financial consultant for key business stakeholders
  • Directly support and lead in overseeing delivery of strategic plan financial commitments, key strategic initiatives and M&A activity
  • Ensure financial reporting to key business stakeholders is timely, insightful and actionable
  • Provide financial modelling and scenario analysis to support long-term strategic planning and risk assessment.
  • Leading the budgeting and forecasting process

The skills and experience you offer us 

  • Significant Commercial Finance Partnering experience in a mid-to-large corporate environment
  • Demonstrated experience in value creation and/or driving tangible performance improvement Retail/Wholesale/FMCG industry experience is essential
  • Experience with business intelligence software and tools
  • Degree qualified in a relevant field 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Extensive stakeholder engagement experience at senior/exec level
  • Problem solving and ability to create innovative solutions
  • Strong analytical skills and impeccable attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills
