ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

As Brand Manager – Volley, you will sit within Designworks and take full ownership of the Volley brand portfolio. This role is dedicated specifically to leading Volley’s product, brand and distribution strategy, evolving the brand while protecting its heritage and distinct identity.

Reporting to the Business Manager, you will drive end-to-end product development and translate this into a clear, commercially disciplined brand and channel strategy across digital, retail and wholesale. Balancing deep product expertise with broader brand leadership, you will ensure the right product reaches the right customer, through the right channels, at the right time, delivering sustainable growth, strong margins and long-term brand equity.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Leading the long-term product and brand strategy, translating consumer, market and performance insights into commercially successful footwear ranges
  • Owning the end-to-end product development process from concept through to go-to-market execution
  • Building commercially balanced assortments aligned to margin targets, price architecture and growth objectives
  • Driving digital and eCommerce performance in partnership with Marketing and Online teams, optimising product presentation, content and conversion
  • Analysing sales and performance across wholesale, retail and digital channels to inform future product and distribution strategy
  • Partnering with Planning to align inventory, demand and promotional strategies for optimal sell-through
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning to deliver profitable growth
  • Managing relationships with suppliers, brand partners and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and execution excellence
  • Leading and developing a product-focused team while fostering strong cross-functional collaboration

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience in brand management and product development within footwear, lifestyle fashion or apparel
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success delivering profitable growth across multiple channels
  • Deep understanding of wholesale, retail and eCommerce distribution models
  • Experience driving digital performance, including online merchandising and conversion optimisation
  • Confident leading cross-functional teams and complex projects end-to-end
  • Strong financial literacy across budgeting, forecasting and margin management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinker who can connect product vision with long-term brand and channel strategy
