ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

We’re on the lookout for a driven and passionate Assistant Store Manager to join our Champion Essendon team!

This is a perfect opportunity for a 2IC, 3IC, or experienced Retail Sales Assistant who is ready to take the next step in their retail career. In this role, you’ll support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team, driving results, and delivering an unforgettable customer experience — all while embodying the Champion spirit.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Supporting the Store Manager in overseeing day-to-day store operations

  • Leading a team by example to deliver outstanding service and a customer-first culture

  • Mentoring and developing team members to achieve KPIs and celebrate their wins

  • Monitoring store sales and performance, identifying strengths and areas for growth

  • Maintaining high standards of store presentation and visual merchandising

  • Taking proactive steps in loss prevention and stock control

  • Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment in line with OH&S standards

Roster: This role operates on a Sunday–Thursday schedule.

ABOUT YOU

You’re passionate about retail, team leadership, and customer service. You bring:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager, 3IC or Retail Sales Assistant

  • A genuine interest in delivering outstanding customer experiences

  • Proven ability to coach and develop a team

  • A track record of driving KPIs and store performance

  • Experience in stock control and visual merchandising

  • Strong time management, organisation, and communication skills

  • A proactive and positive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement

  • Confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels
