ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
We’re on the lookout for a driven and passionate Assistant Store Manager to join our Champion Essendon team!
This is a perfect opportunity for a 2IC, 3IC, or experienced Retail Sales Assistant who is ready to take the next step in their retail career. In this role, you’ll support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team, driving results, and delivering an unforgettable customer experience — all while embodying the Champion spirit.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Supporting the Store Manager in overseeing day-to-day store operations
Leading a team by example to deliver outstanding service and a customer-first culture
Mentoring and developing team members to achieve KPIs and celebrate their wins
Monitoring store sales and performance, identifying strengths and areas for growth
Maintaining high standards of store presentation and visual merchandising
Taking proactive steps in loss prevention and stock control
Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment in line with OH&S standards
Roster: This role operates on a Sunday–Thursday schedule.
ABOUT YOU
You’re passionate about retail, team leadership, and customer service. You bring:
Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager, 3IC or Retail Sales Assistant
A genuine interest in delivering outstanding customer experiences
Proven ability to coach and develop a team
A track record of driving KPIs and store performance
Experience in stock control and visual merchandising
Strong time management, organisation, and communication skills
A proactive and positive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
Confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels
