Are you an experienced multi-site retail leader ready to make a meaningful impact? We're looking for a passionate and commercially minded Area Manager to lead our Queensland store network and help shape the future of one of Australia's most trusted children's footwear retailers.

Reporting directly to the Head of Retail, you'll play a pivotal role in driving sales performance, building high-performing teams, and creating exceptional customer experiences across your region. About the Role

As an Area Manager, you'll be a leader of leaders, empowering Store Managers to perform at their best while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

You'll combine your commercial acumen with strong people leadership to elevate performance across sales, operations, customer experience, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Coach and develop Store Managers to maximise store performance and customer experience
• Drive sales growth and deliver regional KPI and budget targets
• Build a strong talent pipeline through effective succession planning and leadership development
• Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and retention
• Analyse business performance and identify opportunities to improve sales, productivity, and profitability
• Ensure stores operate in line with company standards, policies, and procedures
• Manage escalated customer and store issues professionally and efficiently
• Develop strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including shopping centre management and retail partners
• Lead and inspire a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture across your region

About You

You are an experienced retail leader who knows how to drive results through people. You lead with energy, influence with confidence, and bring a strong commercial mindset to every decision.

You'll Bring:

• Previous experience as an Area Manager within retail, fashion, footwear, or specialty retail
• Proven success leading multiple stores and delivering strong commercial outcomes
• Exceptional coaching and people development skills
• Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to interpret retail metrics and KPIs
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to make sound decisions, adapt quickly, and lead through change
• A collaborative, inclusive, and customer-focused leadership style
• Flexibility and willingness to travel throughout Queensland as required
