ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
As the Allocator for our Footwear division, you'll play a key role in driving profitable sales and maximizing stock efficiency across stores. With your expertise in allocation, administration, and replenishment, you'll ensure our shelves are stocked with the right products at the right time, ultimately helping us hit our financial goals and deliver an exceptional retail experience for our customers.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Initial allocations based on store analysis and capacity and in line with the range and gridding plan.
- Replenishment of styles to stores bi-weekly.
- Ensuring promotional styles are phased into store in line with the marketing calendar to optimise promotional results
- Consolidations of key styles and sale stock between stores
- Inventory management - monitoring transfers and stock deliveries to stores ensuring that stock movement is always accounted for.
- Ensuring Stock is secured for new store openings.
- Management of store optimum stock levels and their capacity levels on associated reports
- DC stock clean ups as needed.
- Proposing changes to store gridding / product mix based on analysis of performance
- Analysis of SOH by store / category
- Maintain the right product mix, analysing and reacting to store trends and overall performance
- Identify opportunity to increase sales through changes in product allocation to best and worst performing stores
- Monitor gaps and make recommendations for action
- Assisting Planning and Design team with ad hoc reporting and analysis requirements, including weekly sales reports, size curves, basic stock monitoring and post season analysis
- Regular communication with Area Managers and store teams re: Stock/Product issues, markdowns & price changes, scanning & barcode issues, stock transfers etc
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will come with..
- 1-2 years’ experience working for a retail business in a similar / related role
- Experience allocating to 30+ stores nationwide desirable
- Advanced computer skills, in particular, Excel & MS Office
- Strong organisational and time management skills. Must demonstrate a methodical, systematic approach to managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent analytical and data based skills.
- Responding to retail reporting to make sound and informed recommendations and decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using reporting systems (AP21 or similar) preferred.
